Amy Gleklen
Amy is a business-savvy leadership coach with experience coaching senior and emerging global leaders and teams in the corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors, and a track record of helping clients move to the next level of leadership. Her coaching approach builds on twenty-five years of leadership experience in the corporate, professional services, and nonprofit sectors and top-tier training with an MBA, MS in Counseling, and leadership coaching certification.

Amy’s leadership coaching experience includes work with both emerging and senior leaders in a variety of functional roles. Her work includes both short-term and multi-year coaching engagements with clients at organizations including PBS, PwC, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Federal Transit Administration, NewTower Trust Company, Excella, Urban Alliance, National Institutes of Health, and Alexandria Public Schools. Highlights of Amy’s coaching assignments include serving as visiting faculty and coaching participants for Genesis Park, PwC’s global leadership development program, and coaching students in the Wharton School’s MBA
Executive Coaching and Feedback Program. Amy is also one of a select group of external coaches selected by the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School to serve their alumni.

Amy has extensive experience as a leadership development facilitator and trainer on projects ranging from one-time programs to long-term assignments. For example, she led a seven month leadership development program for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute on a variety of leadership topics. She has expertise and facilitated trainings on subjects including emotional intelligence, leadership presence, MBTI, team effectiveness, communicating with impact, social styles/strengths, delegating, and career development. She is currently leading a bi-monthly leadership development program for the leadership team at MDICS. Her other leadership training clients include PwC, AOL, Sodexo, Medimmune, Brookings Institution, Freddie Mac, FDA, Peace Corps, Congressional Management Foundation and the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation.
Before becoming a coach Amy served in a variety of management, finance, sales, and operations roles, including positions with Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Biden for President, and Compass, a DC-based nonprofit that provides pro bono consulting services to other nonprofits. Amy received both her MBA and a B.S. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and combines her business education with a M.S. in Counseling from Johns Hopkins
